Bangpu Pumps recently completed equipment upgrades and pump house renovations at multiple agricultural irrigation stations in a farming town in Shanghai. The project renovated seven farm pump houses in total, covering several thousand mu (several hundred acres) of surrounding farmland and effectively resolving long-standing irrigation water shortages faced by local growers.
The town is one of Shanghai's key vegetable and fruit supply bases. As the Xiaoshu(Light Heat) solar term approaches and temperatures rise, demand for greenhouse irrigation has increased sharply. However, the aging equipment and frequent breakdowns at the existing pump houses had severely affected water supply to local farms. Bangpu conducted on-site inspections in advance and quickly finalized a replacement plan. All pump stations draw water from nearby rivers. Given the small head differential and high water demand, the solution adopted ZLB axial-flow pumps and mixed-flow pumps, combined with an intelligent control system, to bring the old pump houses back into service. The upgrades have significantly improved irrigation efficiency while eliminating safety hazards caused by messy wiring and frequent equipment failures.
Agriculture is the foundation on which this town depends for its development. Ensuring reliable irrigation water not only removes a major concern for local farmers but also safeguards the land, its crops, and the food supply for the broader community. With efficient equipment and tailored water intake solutions, Bangpu provides sustained and reliable support for local fruit and vegetable production.
